How do you know you are in a parasitic relationship?

In a parasitic relationship, positive energy only flows in one direction. When one party is giving the energy and receiving nothing positive in return.

Do you have a relationship where your energy is being drained by another person?

One of the easiest ways of knowing if you are in a parasitic relationship is by asking yourself if the relationship is based on a fair exchange.

Relationships based on a fair energetic exchange are not parasitic.

What do we already know about parasites?

Let’s start with physical parasites.

They are very small organisms that live in or on a much larger being (the host). They benefit by gaining food and what they need to survive at the expense of the host.

In the human experience, parasites are mostly known for creating havoc and dysfunction in our digestive systems.

Once they are firmly entrenched within us, they take our energy and erode our physical and personal power.

Therefore, there is no coincidence that our digestive processes aligned with our third chakra, the solar plexus chakra, which is often called our power centre.

Moving onto energetic parasites

The energy of parasites isn’t just restricted to our physicality.

Parasitic energy can also be present within our relationships -– with family members, friends, work colleagues, and acquaintances.

Energetic parasites work in the same way as the parasites that weaken our physical bodies. They benefit by reducing and depleting the personal power of the host being they are feeding off.

In addition, parasites influence our digestion – our mental and spiritual “digestion.” They do this through our solar plexus chakras – our power centers.

Affirmation (to attract healthy relationships)

If you feel there is an energetic imbalance in your relationships, speak out the following affirmation daily.

Doing this will remind you to protect your own personal power.

“I honour and respect my personal power
and actively create opportunities in my every day
to attract and develop healthy relationships based on fair exchange”
